Wheelchair fencing

Since January 2019 we offer wheelchair fencing.

What is wheelchair fencing? On wheelchair fencing, the wheelchairs are fixed in a frame. To evade your opponent’s weapon, you can move your upper body back or with your weapon. To attack, you can move forward with your upper body. Because you are close to each other, you need sufficient muscle strength in your arms. Wheelchair fencing is suitable for all people who cannot exercise while walking. In fencing, it’s about hitting your opponent without being hit yourself. This is also the starting point for wheelchair fencing. Technology, tactics and speed are very important. It’s a challenge!
