Wheelchair fencing
On Thursday 28 March at 7 p.m., the check will be given of the € 5,000 check that the NSGK (Dutch Foundation for the Disabled Child) has awarded to our association. Both Eindhovens Dagblad and Groot Eindhoven devote an article to this presentation. So keep an eye on these newspapers!
JPT
PSV and Courage organized the JPT again on Saturday 16 March. Despite some technical start-up problems at the JPT committee, it was a fun, busy and sporty tournament with 80 participants. This year the cake bakers and bakers have surpassed themselves in glory and number. The proceeds for the associations were almost € 180. For which our enormous thanks! There are various requests for the recipes. Anyone who wants to reveal his secret may send the prescription to the chairman: voorzitter@psvschermen.nl. Photos of the JPT can be found on our website.
Fusion update
The boards of PSV and Courage met on 12 March and have made the following agreements: the adult members of PSV are now welcome to Courage on Monday to train from 8 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. in their fencing room, address: Norenberg 21, 5508 DJ Veldhoven, on 11 April the adults of Courage will come and train with us (and probably also the members of Hoc Habet) on Thursday 9 May both the youth and the adults will come to train with us
General Members Meeting (AVL)
We held our GMM on 7 February. For those who are interested, the presentation and the notes can be requested from the board. An important part was about the the merger with Courage. The members present have agreed to the start of the cooperation and the actions that must be taken to achieve a merger.
Training schedules
Due to the school holidays, there are no training sessions on the following dates:
- May holidays: May 2
- Hall not available: May 23
- Hemelvaart: May 30
Communication
The association will be supported in the coming period by Sandra van der Heiden. The board would like to thank her, also on behalf of our members, for this support.
Kies je Sport
Also this year we do join the ‘Kies je Sport’ program to introduce primary school children to (other) sports. We offer our introductory lessons for both the fencing and the wheelchair fencing.
